Hands On Volunteer Center

 

Hands On Volunteer Center is a new program from Community Connection of Northeast Georgia. The Hands on Volunteer Center is an affiliate of Hands on Georgia and is dedicated to helping individuals and groups find volunteer opportunities in the Athens/ Oconee area.

 

How To Get Involved:

 

Call 2-11 or (706) 353-1313 to learn more about volunteer opportunities based on availability and interest. To better understand and be connected to this program interested people or groups are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming orientation meetings.

 

Purpose of Orientation:

 

  • Better understand and be connected with the new Hands On Volunteer Center.
  • Register individuals and groups with the Hands On Volunteer.
  • Explain the benefits and support available through the Hands On Volunteer Center.
  • Provide various volunteer opportunities.
  • Highlight special events and programs/ Provide monthly calendar of events
  • Answer questions regarding the Hands On Programs, agency partners and volunteerism.

Orientation Schedule:

 

Orientation is a 30 minute program held at the Community Connection office, 452 Prince Avenue (next to the Potter’s House). 

 

Orientation Time: 12:15 pm

  •  Wednesday, February 7th
  •  Monday, February 12th
  • Tuesday, February 27th

 

Orientation Time: 5:30 pm

  •  Wednesday, February 7th
  • Thursday, February 15th
  • Tuesday, February 20th
